Managing Director
Graham McLaughlin
Graham has over 20 years of experience leading impact and advocacy efforts for corporations, foundations, and associations.
Prior to Kardia, Graham led corporate responsibility for Optum, a 200K person organization with $250B in annual revenue. He also led ESG and local government relations for The Advisory Board Company, a publicly traded health and education firm based in DC. He has deployed over $500M in impact investments and over $100M in philanthropic grants during his career, and advised multiple venture capital firms with over $300M in assets under management.
Graham has lived in ward 7 for the last decade, and in his over 20 years in DC has been a resident of five of the city’s eight wards. He has been published or profiled in publications as varied as Guardian Sustainable Business, the Washington Post, Inc., and National Journal. He currently serves on the board of the Georgetown School of Health and 1863 Ventures, a non-profit accelerator and venture fund for Black-owned businesses. He has also served on various local non-profit boards and the board of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers, and was endorsed by the Washington Post when he ran for DC Council.
Graham is a summa cum laude graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill.
